Cigna Brings Fun and Fitness to Underrepresented Students in Arizona

Cigna ranked No. 24 on The Fair360, formerly DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list in 2022.

 

Cigna partnered with Vincent Country to host a Safe Zone Activity Day at Bernard Black Entrepreneurial Academy in Phoenix, Arizona.

More than 500 students between the kindergarten and 5th grade levels received backpacks and participated in a day full of activities.

The Safe Zone Activity Day is celebrating its sixth year. The event was created by Vincent Country, the family lifestyle brand of NFL executive Troy Vincent and his wife, chef Tommi A. Vincent. Safe Zone Activity Day aims to provide a haven for elementary school students in underrepresented areas of Phoenix, Arizona.

Teachers and families also enjoyed the event, which was attended by the Vincent family; NFL players Baron Browning and Jesse Luketa; Arizona Cardinals cheerleaders and mascot Big Red; NFL legends Eddie Mason, Takeo Spikes, Bobby Taylor, Lorenzo Alexander, Usama Young, LeCharles Bentley and Chris Draft; and volunteers from Cigna.
