Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2025
Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a federal holiday celebrated the third Monday in January each year. It coincides with King’s birthday on January 15. On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, or MLK Day, in 2025 (January 20), we honor King’s Civil Rights leadership and legacy. Additionally, we celebrate our country’s civil rights achievements and acknowledge how much work we need to do to continue fighting for King’s dream.
King’s strong oratory played a pivotal role in the Civil Rights Movement and inspired other movements throughout the 20th and 21st centuries. This Cultural Connection Toolkit is a valuable resource to share with your staff to honor his legacy and initiate conversations on how to fight for civil rights moving forward.
