The Walt Disney Company has been recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of the World’s Most Admired Companies in 2023 for the 20th consecutive year.
Disney ranked no. 1 in the Media and Entertainment industry and no. 6 overall.
Fortune collaborated with Korn Ferry to evaluate the performance and reputations of 645 companies across 27 countries. These companies were chosen from an original pool of 1,500 companies: The 1,000 largest companies in the U.S. ranked by revenue and non-U.S. companies in Fortune’s Global 500 database with a revenue of $10 billion or more.
The 50 All-Stars were determined by 3,760 executives, directors and securities analysts choosing the top 10 companies they admired the most. Leaders in the 52 industries were chosen based on nine criteria: ability to attract and retain talented people; quality of management; social responsibility to the community and the environment; innovativeness; quality of products or services; wise use of corporate assets; financial soundness; long-term investment value; and effectiveness in doing business globally.
