EY has launched its Global Taskforce on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) report, showing the company’s commitment, collaboration and action on sustainability.
The report focuses on the climate risks to the company’s people and business, the opportunity to help clients decarbonize and how the company is accomplishing its Carbon Ambition of becoming net zero in 2025.
The Financial Stability Board created the TCFD in 2015 to help provide recommendations that will help financial market participants understand climate risks. EY became a supporter in the year of its publication, with Mat Nelson, Chief Sustainability Officer of EY Oceania, as a member of the TCFD Task Force.
The recommendations in the TCFD are structured around the following four themes:
- Governance
- Strategy
- Risk Management
- Metrics and Targets
