During the year we received great insight into leadership, workplace inclusivity and cultural awareness. In this article, we look back at the top 5 articles across Fair360.
Modern Black Civil Rights Leaders Making History
Our most popular article was about seven modern Black Civil Rights leaders making history. This cohort of activists, and leaders are working on a new vision for America. Past and present injustices inspire them to expand our understanding of race, identity and justice.
There are thousands of people dedicated to making powerful changes, but we highlight just a few. On the list was Congresswoman Cori Bush and the President and CEO of the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation, Melanie Campbell.
The group includes Tamika D. Mallory, co-founder of Until Freedom, CEO and President of the National Urban League Marc H. Morial, NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson and Tarana Burke, founder of the #MeToo Movement and Just Be, Inc. Additionally, our list featured educator, writer and activist Brittany Packnett Cunningham.

Women of Color and Their Allies
The seventh annual Women of Color and Their Allies (WOCA) event, with the theme “Let’s Rise Together,” left a positive impression on attendees.
In our recap, we highlight keynote speaker Amira K.S. Barger’s speech on the “Precipice of Possibility.” The speech focused on the importance of creating lasting change, representation and the need of corporate leaders to actively engage in inclusive workplaces.

Creating Inclusive Workplaces for People with Disabilities
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) observance and in August, we reflected on the significance of creating an inclusive and equitable workplace for People with Disabilities (PwD) with the NDEAM 2024 Cultural Connection Toolkit. In collaboration with the National Organization on Disability (NOD), the toolkit includes an insightful article on digital accessibility in the workplace and a timeline of pivotal moments in disability rights history.

Spotlight on Executive Voices
For our inaugural Executive Voices series, where leaders can learn from industry peers, we spoke with Victoria Gutierrez, Senior Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer at Sysco.
She shared insight and her history, such as her first job, advice for aspiring HR leaders and how to foster a culture of inclusion within your organization.
“Something that I really love about working at Sysco is that we are a purpose-driven organization,” she said. “Our purpose is ‘Connecting the world to share food and care for one another,’ and we live that purpose every day.”
The full Q&A with Sysco’s Victoria Gutierrez can be found here and you can also check out our Executive Voices interview with Dr. Adaora Nelson, Vice President of Quality & Mission Assurance at Raytheon, an RTX business.
