Johnson & Johnson has been named to America’s Most Innovative Companies List by Fortune, ranking in the top 20.
Fortune partnered with Statista, a market research and data company, to analyze more than 15,000 eligible companies. The companies were reviewed with three pillars in mind:
- Product innovation: Encompasses product and service design and its usability and uniqueness, as well as innovations in research and development
- Process innovation: Evaluates innovation in sourcing and production, marketing, sales and support
- Innovation culture: Measured by the extent to which a company internally fosters a spirit of entrepreneurship and creativity
“For 137 years, innovation has fueled the work happening inside and outside company walls, including groundbreaking efforts to tackle some of the world’s toughest health challenges, new ideas to support health equity solutions, galvanizing work toward building a healthier planet and more,” wrote JNJ.
The company was also recognized as one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies in the health industry and one of the World’s Most Admired Companies by Fortune, ranking no. 1 in the pharmaceuticals industry.
