PPG completed a Colorful Communities project in Porto, Portugal, where volunteers helped revitalize Obra ABC, a residential school for underprivileged children and young people.
PPG employees and customers worked together to paint the school’s living rooms and gymnasium. Artist Nuno Palhas created a series of murals based on concepts drawn by the children.
“The Colorful Communities program has the mission to make a difference in our communities,” said Cláudia Carvalho, PPG Marketing Manager, Portugal, Architectural Coatings. “We encourage collaborative work and the spirit of help to give new life to institutions, and using our products we were able to beautify and create very welcoming environments — as was the case at Obra ABC.”
