Raytheon Technologies Names Channing Yang 2023 MATHCOUNTS National Champion

Raytheon Technologies ranked No. 36 on the Fair360 2023 Top 50 Companies for Diversity list.

 

Raytheon Technologies has announced 13-year-old Channing Yang as the 2023 MATHCOUNTS National Champion, awarded the $20,000 Donald G. Weinert College Scholarship.

Yang, who is in seventh grade, competed against 222 students from 50 states at the 39th MATHCOUNTS National Competition in Orlando, FL. More than 30,000 students participated in local and state competitions.

Raytheon Technologies has served as the title sponsor of the MATHCOUNTS National Competition for 14 years.

Yang was among 11 other mathletes in the final Countdown Round, where the top mathletes in the country competed in head-to-head matchups. Oron Wang, 14, was the Countdown Round Runner-Up and won a $7,500 scholarship.
