Raytheon Technologies’ Women Inspiring Success and Empowerment Drives Workplace Equity Through Education and Allyship

Raytheon Technologies ranked No. 41 on The Fair360, formerly DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list in 2022.

Raytheon Technologies’ employee resource group, Women Inspiring Success and Empowerment (RTX WISE), works to improve equity in the workplace through education, allyship and executive development.

RTX WISE has the following goals:

  • Educating employees about gender issues at work
  • Engaging men as allies for women
  • Helping women executives prepare to serve on non-profit and public boards of directors
  • Planning and delivering a series of events across the company to advance the group’s mission

“The women’s employee resource group is so diverse from a gender, race, career, veteran status perspective. Some are mothers, some are not. All these different things and more that go into being a woman, and what that might look like for you, are important,” said Nicole Terry, Associate Director of Sustainment Operations Management in military engines at Pratt & Whitney and co-chair of RTX WISE.

Raytheon recognizes the intersectionality of women and ensures all employees have fair access to an equitable workforce: providing a space to hear the voice of women of color, fostering a sense of belonging through networking opportunities and encouraging allyship among men.

“A lot of the focus has been on trying to change the women rather than looking at systems and culture and examining why different styles can’t also progress and be successful,” said Diane Foley, Chair of RTX WISE.
