Alabama Power, a subsidiary of Southern Company, offers two incentives to customers who own or are considering purchasing an electric vehicle (EV). The incentives will help customers save money when they charge their vehicle at home.
The incentives are:
- EV Home Charger Rebate: Through this incentive, customers can receive a one-time rebate of $500 for purchasing and installing a Level 2 (240V) charger at their homes. Level 2 chargers allow EV owners to charge up to 10 times faster than level 1 chargers. Learn more here.
- EV Night Charging Discount: Customers charging their electric vehicle at home between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. will receive a discounted rate. Learn more here.
