Paige MacPherson is a Human Resources Coordinator at TD Bank. TD Bank ranked No. 13 on The Fair360, formerly DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list in 2022.
When Paige MacPherson was a senior in high school, she felt that her autism would cause her to be underprepared to enter the workforce. She decided to apply to Project SEARCH, a one-year employment preparation program that is held in the workplace. Now, MacPherson is a Human Resources Coordinator at TD Bank.
Project SEARCH helps participants find employment in the community, particularly at jobs that cultivate inclusivity.
Through the program, MacPherson learned how to write a resume and how to use a variety of computer programs. She also received coaching on public speaking and the interview process.
MacPherson spent her time at Project SEARCH with TD Bank, the only bank on the East Coast to participate in the international program.
“I cannot say enough good things about the employees of TD Bank. Everyone that Paige has encountered takes the time to ask how she is doing and if she needs any help … Paige is extremely happy at her job. She is challenged and is excited to keep learning new tasks and growing,” said Faith MacPherson, Paige’s mother.
