Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a federal holiday celebrated the third Monday in January each year. It coincides with King’s birthday on January 15. On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, or MLK Day, in 2025 (January 20), we honor King’s Civil Rights leadership and legacy. Additionally, we celebrate our country’s civil rights achievements and acknowledge how much work we need to do to continue fighting for King’s dream.
