‘Pose’ Star Billy Porter to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Billy Porter is set to receive a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles. Porter, who’s originally from Pittsburgh, is a Tony award-winning actor and fashion icon. The talented actor, singer, and activist started in showbiz in 1994 when he portrayed “Teen Angel” in the Broadway revival of Grease. He is one of the stars of Pose, FX’s mega-popular drama that examines the lives of gay and transgender minorities in New York City during the ’80s. The hit show is already scheduled for a third season even though the second season has only aired two episodes.

Porter is one of over thirty honorees slated to receive the honor for 2020.
