NEW YORK (NOVEMBER 10, 2014) – In honor of Veterans Day, NOD has released a new resource of leading employment practices and actionable tips for successfully recruiting, onboarding, supporting and retaining veterans within a company’s workforce.
The Employers’ Guide for Welcoming and Supporting Wounded Warriors offers valuable tips on successful veterans’ recruitment, as well as support and retention strategies, to avoid high turnover rates. This is especially significant for the nearly 50,000 federal contractor companies that are subject to new regulations on hiring protected veterans, including those with disabilities, under updates to the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act.
