May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPI Heritage Month). It celebrates the strength, tenacity, resilience and contributions of Asian Americans. This year’s theme is “Advancing Leaders Through Innovation,” which “pays homage to the visionaries and trailblazers who have shaped our AANHPI history and continue to influence our collective future,” according to the Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC). The organization refers to the month of May as AANHPI Month, which stands for Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
AAPI individuals are diverse, with different backgrounds, sexual orientations, identities and abilities. This month, we aim to celebrate all of them. This Meeting in a Box is designed to serve as a valuable tool to continue your employees’ cultural competence education, open conversations about race and ethnicity and spotlight the accomplishments of the AAPI community.
