AbbVie Opens Public Voting for Cystic Fibrosis Scholarship

AbbVie ranked No. 16 on the Fair360, formerly DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list in 2023.

AbbVie announced its two-week public voting period for the 2023 Thriving Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships, which began on Sept. 13, 2023 and will end on Sept. 27, 2023.

The scholarship program supports students living with cystic fibrosis (CF), an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system.

Candidates for the Thriving Scholarships were chosen over the summer: AbbVie awarded 40 undergraduate and graduate students living with CF a $3,000 scholarship to use during the 2023-2024 academic year. These students are now eligible to win the Thriving Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships.

The winners will be chosen based on votes cast by the public and points awarded by the AbbVie judging panel, which evaluated student essays and creative presentations. Visit the official AbbVie CF Scholarship website to learn more about these students and cast your vote.

“For over 30 years, the AbbVie CF Scholarship program has honored thousands of students living with CF by showcasing their accomplishments, creativity and financially supporting their pursuits of higher education,” said John Duffey, Vice President, U.S. Specialty, AbbVie. “This year we continue to be inspired by these hardworking and passionate students and hope the public participates in voting for and celebrating them.”
