Comcast and Internet Essentials Partner with Telemundo to Help Bridge the Digital Divide This Holiday Season

Yesterday on Telemundo’s Un Nuevo Día, Adamari López kicked off a month of giving to celebrate the value of relationships and hope for the future, starting with a local Boys and Girls Club in Miami, Florida. In partnership with Comcast, each student was gifted a new Dell laptop and a year of free Internet Essentials services for eligible families to gain access to virtual learning and encourage multigenerational connection during this holiday season and beyond.

Comcast and Internet Essentials will continue to partner with Telemundo to giveaway 1,000+ laptops and a year of free Internet Essentials to more eligible families, students, and seniors across the United States in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more surprise giveaways in the following markets: Boston, Chicago, Denver, Fresno, Houston, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, and Washington, D.C.

Also yesterday, Comcast announced it would extend its COVID-19 support, including continuing to provide free Internet service for the first 60 days for new Internet Essentials customers, and free access to more than 1.5 million public Xfinity WiFi hotspots, the largest network of its kind in the country, through June 30, 2021.
