We are proud to announce Comcast NBCUniversal has been recognized as the nation’s No. 1 telecommunications company and No. 3 overall employer in a “Best for Vets” ranking by Military Times, the premier news source for service members and their families.
In its 13th year, Military Times’ “Best for Vets: Employers” list is an annual ranking of the nation’s top companies and organizations that prioritize hiring, retaining and supporting current and former service members, military spouses and military caregivers. This is the seventh consecutive year Comcast NBCUniversal has been recognized by Military Times on this list.
“We are honored that Military Times has recognized our long-standing commitment to the military community,” said Brigadier General (Ret.) Carol Eggert, Senior Vice President of Military and Veteran Affairs at Comcast NBCUniversal.
In addition to the latest “Best for Vets” ranking, Comcast NBCUniversal has been recognized by Victory Media as a Top 10 Military Friendly Brand, Top 10 Military Friendly Supplier Diversity Program, Gold-level Military Friendly Employer, and Military Spouse Friendly Employer.
The company was also recently named a 5 Star Employer by VETS Indexes and a top company for veterans by Fair360, formerly DiversityInc.
“One of the best ways to help veterans is to connect them with fulfilling and meaningful careers at organizations where they can develop their skills and grow into senior leaders,” said George Altman, Managing Director of VETS Indexes.
For years, Comcast NBCUniversal has made recruiting and hiring military community members a priority. Since 2015, the company has hired more than 19,400 veterans, service members and military spouses. These military-connected teammates are offered continuous professional development opportunities and several unique benefits, including a Veteran-focused Employee Resource Group, a dedicated Military Concierge service, Guard and Reserve Leave, Differential Pay, an Active Duty Health Benefits Plan and Military Spouse Transfer Assistance.
“We value the extensive leadership experience and unique skillset that our military-trained teammates bring to the company,” said Sean Casey, Senior Director of Communications for Military and Veteran Affairs. “That is why we are always looking towards the military talent market as an optimal place to get high-quality job candidates.”
