Eli Lilly highlighted its partnership with Direct Relief in response to the Maui wildfires.
Direct Relief is a nonprofit humanitarian organization that aims to improve the lives of people in poverty or emergencies by providing appropriate medical resources.
Staff members and volunteers from the partnership are in Maui, aiding with the aftermath of the wildfires and distributing vital Lilly medicines.
“Managing a chronic disease is hard enough, but when disaster strikes, access to medicines can be a matter of life and death. That’s why we partner with organizations specializing in disaster response,” wrote the company.
