Florida anesthesiologist Jennifer Susan Wright is accused of attacking a man who asked her to maintain social distancing at a Florida supermarket. According to the Miami Herald and other local outlets, police say Wright attacked a Hispanic man, vandalized his car, called him a racial slur and said she’d “get rid of every single one of you.”
The attack took place on Jan. 20 at a Publix supermarket in Hialeah, a city in Miami-Dade County with a large Cuban American population. A man asked Wright in Spanish to maintain social distancing in line.
Wright, who works at Mount Sinai Medical Center, ignored him. When he asked again in English, she followed him to his car. According to the report, when he asked her again to keep her distance, she called the man a slur and said, “We should have gotten rid of you when we could.”
