Raytheon Technologies Spotlights Its LGBTQ+ ERG

Raytheon Technologies ranked No. 36 on the Fair360 2023 Top 50 Companies for Diversity list.

Raytheon Technologies has spotlighted RTX PRIDE, its LGBTQ+ employee resource group (ERG) focused on advancing education, development and advocacy for the company’s LGBTQ+ community.

The group’s key initiatives include:

  • Rolling out a specialized management training initiative aimed at retaining LGBTQ+ professionals
  • Promoting employee assistance programs and introducing a novel adoption reimbursement benefit
  • Ensuring equitable access to benefits, such as healthcare, for all employees irrespective of their location
  • Collaborating with the HR department to encourage employees to self-ID

“Everyone has embraced each other, shared stories with each other and created a safe space to chat and lean on each other. We’ve had real discussions, emotional discussions. We truly have created a safe space for everyone, including our allies,” said Brian Kilhoffer, RTX PRIDE Chair and a materials manager at Pratt & Whitney, a Raytheon Technologies business.

The ERG created an internal online forum that has given members the opportunity to share stories and concerns, connect, ask for support and identify issues to raise to senior leaders.

“It’s our belief and our commitment to make an environment where people should not fear speaking up and to actually make this a better workforce,” said Kilhoffer.
