The President and CEO of the National Council of La Raza, the nation’s largest Latino civil-rights and advocacy group, on Tuesday called President Obama the “Deporter-in-Chief” and urged him to use executive authority to stop unnecessary deportations.
In an interview with Politico in advance of the NCLR Capital Awards, Janet Murgua said, “For the President, I think his legacy is at stake here. We consider him the deportation President, or the Deporter-in-Chief.”
