Mani Prakash is the VP of Enterprise Research & Development at Medtronic. Medtronic ranked No. 2 on the Fair360 2023 Top 50 Companies for Diversity list.
Medtronic spotlighted Mani Prakash, VP of Enterprise Research & Development, in honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month.
Prakash is also the co-chair of the Asian Impact at Medtronic Network (AIM), which has 20 local hubs and 4,800+ members across the Americas, Asia Pacific and EMEA.
In this role, he has focused on developing talent through mentorship and creating value for patients through increased representation across the company.
Prakash encourages others to understand that there are hundreds of cultures within the AAPI community, but the community’s barriers and challenges are often shared experiences. This creates an opportunity to learn and build solidarity.
Prakash said that broadening your thinking and getting to know the culture of the people you work with creates better teams.
Medtronic was also recognized by Asia Society for its ongoing commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and the Asian community, receiving two awards from Asia Society’s biennial 2023 Asian Corporate Survey.
