AbbVie Employees Volunteer to Make an Impact in Asia

AbbVie ranked No. 16 on the Fair360 2023 Top 50 Companies for Diversity list.

 

AbbVie employees in Asia volunteered to give back to local communities through the Week of Possibilities program. The program, now in its eighth year, unites employees around the world through volunteer opportunities.

Over the span of a month, 940 employees collaborated with nonprofit organizations to benefit local communities through projects such as donation drives, environmental clean-ups, planting trees, caring for the elderly and spending time with disadvantaged or disabled children.

We are thrilled to collaborate with our esteemed partners in each country, channeling our collective efforts to create a profound difference in the lives of children, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and the environment,” said Peggy Wu, Vice President, Asia, AbbVie. “During our highly anticipated WOP, an annual volunteer initiative that unites thousands of AbbVie employees worldwide, we seize the opportunity to serve our local communities in Asia with boundless enthusiasm and impact.”

Participating locations include Hong KongSingaporeMalaysiaThailandthe PhilippinesIndiaTaiwan and South Korea.

The volunteers logged 3,121 service hours and impacted 1,308 people.
