AT&T’s Dr. Jeff Tzeng on Intersection of Identities

Dr. Jeff Tzeng (DO, MPH, MBA) is the Head of Health and Well-being at AT&T. AT&T is a Top 50 Hall of Fame company.

Dr. Jeff Tzeng (DO, MPH, MBA), Head of Health and Well-being at AT&T, shared his experience with the intersection of identities in honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Military Appreciation Month and Mental Health Awareness Month.

“While these celebrations might seem isolated from one another, I am living proof that an intersection of identities is the perfect inspiration to create connections and meaningful change,” Dr. Tzeng said.

Dr. Tzeng’s parents emigrated from Taiwan to the U.S. when he was a year old. He also served in the U.S. Army as a flight surgeon in Iraq and Afghanistan and now focuses on health and well-being at AT&T.

“As it turns out, my struggle with living two cultures was the source of my greatest strength and has allowed me to embrace my authentic self and appreciate people as they are and not why they don’t act, look or think like me,” Dr. Tzeng said. “Creating those authentic connections also inspire my work at AT&T to provide employees with mental health resources that help them reach greater possibility — in their personal and professional lives.”
