Comcast’s Broderick Johnson Helps Advocates Connectivity for Students

Broderick Johnson,  Executive Vice President, Public Policy and Executive Vice President, Digital Equity at Comcast Corporation, helped advance Project UP’s goals for students.

With students heading back to school and the increased need for a home internet connection, Johnson traveled to four cities across the U.S. to meet with local partners and government officials. During these trips, he advocated for connectivity and raised awareness for the federal government’s Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP).

Comcast also announced nearly $700,000 in investments, donated more than 500 laptops and opened two Lift Zones to increase community connectivity across four cities: Portland, OR, Tacoma, WA, Fort Wayne, IN, and Houston, TX.

“By partnering with nonprofit organizations and government at every level, we can support the next generation of students, entrepreneurs, and storytellers, and thereby help pave the way for them to achieve their highest potential and reach unlimited possibilities,” Johnson said.
