On Dec. 2, Hilton was listed as the top Best Workplaces in Greater China 2021 for the second consecutive year by Great Place to Work, the global research and consulting firm. Amid a challenging year for the hospitality industry, Hilton is the only hospitality company to be within the top 10, continuing its leadership with seven years on the list.

“It is a genuine honor to be placed on the Best Workplaces in Greater China list for seven straight years by the Great Place to Work Institute — the global authority on workplace culture,” said Qian Jin, area president of Greater China and Mongolia, Hilton. “It is not only a testament of our dedication to empowering our Team Members to Thrive, but proof that our people are our greatest asset, and the core of what drives Hilton’s growth and success, especially against the tide of challenges over the last two years.”

Great Place to Work identifies Best Workplaces based on their dedicated and motivated employees and leaders and their commitment in the workplace. This year, Great Place to Work named 61 companies to its Best Workplaces list in Greater China through a survey of 150 companies with more than 200,000 employees in the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The survey assesses employees’ perceptions of leadership, organizational culture, and trust, and is critical to a company being selected to the list of Best Workplaces in Greater China.

To fulfill its mission to be the most hospitable company in the world, Hilton seeks to empower its employees in Greater China and Mongolia (GCM) through the employer value proposition Thrive@Hilton. It ensures that its Team Members can best understand and take advantage of its people programs and feel more resilient, focused, and optimized about their work.  Whether in career development tracks, personal development or community projects, Thrive@Hilton enables Team Members to flourish in body, mind and spirit.

With over 30 years in the market, Hilton has aimed to have 1,000 hotels in operation in the market with 100,000 Team Members, including 85% local general managers and 30% female general managers. It is well on track to achieve these goals in 2021. In its footprint expansion this year, it debuted the Home2 Suites brand in the upper midscale segment, renewed the Hampton by Hilton license agreement with Jin Jiang International and launched the franchise model in China with Hilton Garden Inn in China. Soon it will open its 400th hotel in Greater China, marching towards its goal in 2025.
