Kaiser Permanente Grants $10 Million to Support Denver Health

Kaiser Permanente is a Fair360 Top 50 Hall of Fame company.

Kaiser Permanente announced a new commitment of up to $10 million to Denver Health, supporting the institution’s critical role as Denver’s core safety-net hospital.

Denver Health provides care regardless of a patient’s ability to pay. However, it has recently experienced financial challenges primarily due to the dramatic increase in uninsured patients, uncompensated care and higher costs.

With funding from Kaiser Permanente, Denver Health will be able to continue providing primary and specialty care for individuals who are not able to pay.

“Denver Health plays an essential role in taking care of patients in our state with significant medical needs,” said Mike Ramseier, Regional President of Kaiser Permanente in Colorado. “A strong health care safety net benefits our entire community. It is imperative for us to come together now to support Denver Health.”

The company will grant $5 million to Denver Health to address immediate needs, with another $5 million available as a matching donation to incentivize local organizations, the business community, members of the healthcare industry and others to help.
