KeyBank Grants $120,000 to Women of the World

KeyBank ranked No. 22 on the Fair360, formerly DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list in 2023.

KeyBank granted $120,000 to Women of the World (WoW), a nonprofit organization that aims to overcome employment barriers for forcibly displaced women living in Utah.

The grant will support WoW’s expansion of its Employee Partnership Program (EPP), allowing the organization to add a social worker to the team and expand its office space and programming.

The grant will also fund intensive English courses with a teacher and assistant, curriculum development, childcare and relocating to a larger facility.

“Sustainable employment is a massive step toward independence,” said Drew Yergensen, President of KeyBank Utah. “This program works with Utah employers to help secure jobs with benefits and the potential to move up the career ladder. Women in this program are overcoming personal trauma, language barriers and technological hurdles, and I’m beyond proud that our community can offer a hand up.”

WoW was established in 2009 to support women worldwide who have been displaced due to war, job loss or poverty.
