KeyBank Sponsors Black Economic Success Trust

KeyBank ranked No. 22 on the Fair360 2023 Top 50 Companies for Diversity list.

KeyBank sponsored the Black Economic Success Trust (B.E.S.T.) in downtown Denver on June 9-10, providing entrepreneurs, business leaders and other professionals with resources focused on helping them grow their careers and businesses.

The event focused on four economic development focus areas: small business, workforce, leadership development and youth economic empowerment.

“KeyBank is proud to support B.E.S.T. this year,” said Mike Katz, Market President of KeyBank Colorado. “Gathering like-minded leaders and business owners to talk about topics that matter in our community is going to help create lasting change and build new relationships.”

B.E.S.T. aims to minimize the traumatic effects of racism in Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC) communities by dismantling systemic barriers that impede building wealth through partnerships.

The event included sessions such as The State of Black Business in Colorado and Diversity is Not Enough: How Inclusion and Equity Drive Lasting Change. Helena Haynes-Carter, EVP and Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer at KeyBank, facilitated a panel discussion with Anthony W. Wade, Ph.D., M.J. Ivy, and Regina Richards.
