Mastercard Supports the United Nations World Food Program to Help Ukrainian Children

Mastercard ranked No. 1 on the Fair360, formerly DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list in 2023.

Mastercard has partnered with Foodora to support the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) as it helps Ukrainian children affected by the war.

For every order made using the Foodora app between July 27 and September 6 and paid using a Mastercard, the global average of the cost of one school meal will be donated to the WFP.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Foodora in support of WFP to enable Mastercard cardholders to help where it is truly needed. This joint initiative shows that even by taking small steps, we can make a big difference. Our shared goal is to ensure that children in Ukraine have one less thing to worry about, helping them to focus their attention on continuing and completing their education,” said Damian Zielinski, General Manager CZ&SK at Mastercard.

The campaign supports the WFP in continuing to work with the Government of Ukraine to provide daily hot meals in 58 schools across Kyiv Oblast. Mastercard Czech Republic has also committed to donating 150,000 EUR ($162,155) to support the provision of regular school meals.

“By joining Mastercard in support of WFP, we have an opportunity to alleviate this difficult situation for the most vulnerable children in Ukraine. By supporting school meals programs, we hope to help create a better future for children affected by the war. We hope that our initiative will help as many vulnerable children as possible, and as quickly as possible,” said Adam Kolesa, Head of Foodora in the Czech Republic.
