For the fifth consecutive year, KPMG has been named an honoree of The Civic 50 by Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service. The award recognizes KPMG as one of the 50 most community-minded companies in the United States for 2020.
“If there is one thing you can count on, it is that our KPMG family generously steps up to help others, especially in times of need,” said Rob Arning, KPMG U.S. Foundation Chairman and Client Care Executive. “In addition to donations, volunteer efforts and the countless acts of care and compassion we’ve seen from our people during these challenging times, the Foundation has provided over $2 million in charitable funds in support of COVID-19 relief to nonprofit organizations in the communities where we live and work. We are now directing additional funds from KPMG U.S. to efforts focused on combating racial inequity.”
The Civic 50 provides a national standard for superior corporate citizenship and showcases how companies can use their time, skills and resources to impact their communities. “Points of Light believes that now more than ever, companies must drive transformative social change around the world,” said Natalye Paquin, president and CEO, Points of Light. “We thank KPMG for their investment, and look forward to supporting them in innovating and expanding this work.”
The Civic 50 honorees are public and private companies with U.S. operations and revenues of $1 billion or more, and are selected based on four dimensions of their U.S. community engagement program including investment, integration, institutionalization and impact.
