Raytheon Technologies shared statistics to help make sustainable aviation possible. Two percent of global emissions come from the aviation industry, with 80% from long-range flights.

The company’s first-generation geared turbofan (GTF) engine increased fuel efficiency by 16% and reduced regulated emissions by 50%.
