Southern Company ranked No. 24 on the Fair360 Top 50 Companies for Diversity list in 2023
Southern Company has received a score of 100% by the 2023 Disability Equality Index (DEI) and was named one of the “Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion.” This marks the seventh consecutive year that the company has received top marks.
The DEI is a joint initiative of the American Association of People with Disabilities (AADP) and Disability:IN. It analyzes companies and their disability inclusion practices, measuring on a scale from zero to 100, with 100 reserved for companies that are the most inclusive.

The ranking analyzed the following areas: Culture & Leadership; Enterprise-Wide Access; Employment Practices (Benefits, Recruitment, Employment, Education, Retention & Advancement, Accommodations); Community Engagement; Supplier Diversity; and Non-U.S. Operations (Non-Weighted).
