TD Bank ranked No. 20 on the Fair360 2023 Top 50 Companies for Diversity list.
TD Bank recently awarded 20 students $1.4 million in its TD Scholarships for Community Leadership program.
In their last year of high school, or CEGEP (in Quebec), each recipient received a scholarship of up to $70,000, including up to $10,000 for tuition and $7,500 for living expenses per year for a maximum of four years.
The group of Canadian awardees was recognized for outstanding achievements and contributions, including creating student workshops to attract more girls into science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), creating fare-free transit in local communities and helping to raise money for scholarship programs for refugee students from Uganda.
“We know how tough the past few years have been for us all, including the next generation of leaders,” said Alicia Rose, AVP, Social Impact at TD Bank. “That’s why we’re proud to celebrate these exceptional TD Scholars who are showing their commitment to making positive and inclusive impacts within their communities as they embark on the next stages of their lives.”
