UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Mississippi Recognized for Health Equity

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Mississippi has been recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) with a Health Equity Accreditation.

The Health Equity Accreditation is granted to organizations that work to reduce disparities in health care and provide culturally and linguistically sensitive services.

The accreditation evaluates how well an organization complies with standards such as organizational readiness, having practitioners with cultural responsiveness and the ability to reduce health disparities.

  • Practitioner network cultural responsiveness
  • Culturally and linguistically appropriate services programs
  • Reducing healthcare disparities

NCQA is a nonprofit organization with a mission to assess and report on the quality of managed care plans, managed behavioral health care organizations, preferred provider organizations, new health plans, physician organizations, credentials verification organizations, disease management programs and other health-related programs.
