Wells Fargo Helps Aging Homeowners Stay in Their Homes

Wells Fargo ranked No. 32 on the Fair360 Top 50 Companies for Diversity list in 2023.

The Wells Fargo Foundation is granting $7.5 million to Habitat for Humanity International to help aging homeowners stay in their homes.

The grant, which is the latest edition of the organizations’ nearly 30-year partnership, helps repair homes and address mobility needs for aging individuals.

“The program with Habitat started 30 years ago in Des Moines with a team of our employees. We built a house with a family of five. And now we’re in cities across the country,” said Mary Mack, Wells Fargo’s retired CEO of Consumer and Small Business Banking. “This year, we’ll build or repair 360 homes across the country and make a huge difference in homeownership and livability.”

The funding has helped a homeowner in Des Moines, IA, install a ramp and door for wheelchair access.
