David Calhoun, President and CEO of The Boeing Company, shared a message with employees in the recent publication of the company’s 2023 Global Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Report.
“Each day, we collaborate around the world in support of our products, services and various projects. Through this work, one of the most important things we can do is to ensure every teammate feels valued and heard as we cultivate a culture that is committed to including one another,” Calhoun wrote.
The report shared progress towards Boeing’s 2025 goals:
- The company used equitable hiring practices in 2022 to hire approximately 23,000 employees, ensuring team members reflect the diversity of communities where Boeing operates
- Increased representation of women and racial and ethnic minorities at nearly every level, including in executive, manager, engineering, professional and factory positions
- Supports veteran population, LGBTQ+ community and individuals with disabilities as part of the company’s commitment to building a diverse talent pipeline
- The Seek, Speak & Listen initiative helps teammates identify and solve issues, use their voice to share ideas or concerns and take action
