Comcast NBCUniversal ranked No. 13 on the Fair360 2023 Top 50 Companies for Diversity list.
Comcast NBCUniversal is embracing and commemorating Pride Month with a focus on content, collaborations with LGBTQ-led organizations and serving nonprofits dedicated to promoting digital equity, all under the unifying theme of “Pride is Universal.”
Here are initiatives the company is taking to celebrate Pride Month:
- Year-round, Xfinity celebrates Pride with its best-in-class LGBTQ+ Film & TV destination on X1, Flex and Xfinity Stream. This month, the platform is debuting new features, functionality and content collections to make it easier for customers to find and enjoy LGBTQ+ programming.
- Comcast Newsmakers will release new interviews spotlighting champions of the LGBTQ+ community. The features include Kelley Robinson, the first Black woman to serve as president of the Human Rights Campaign; E.C. Pizarro III of TransTech Social Enterprises; Stacy Lentz of the Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative; and Casey Pick of The Trevor Project.
- Comcast NBCUniversal will partner with StartOut, LGBT Tech, The Trevor Project and GLSEN through Project UP, the company’s initiative to advance digital equity.
- The company will host its first-ever national Pride Summit, which will bring together employees from the LGBTQ+ community and their allies for conversations around allyship and authenticity.
- The company spotlighted conversations with employees about celebrating their identities at work, including Amaya Capellán, Vice President of Product Management, TPX, and Jerry Marcus, Total Rewards Data Services Process Improvement Engineer & Co-lead for the Headquarters MyAbilities Employee Resource Group.
