KPMG Launches First Empower High School Experience

KPMG ranked No. 6 on the Fair360, formerly DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list in 2023.


KPMG has introduced the Empower High School Experience, an initiative aimed at promoting equal access to career and growth opportunities within communities.

This initiative entails a three-week paid internship designed to introduce high school students from diverse backgrounds to the world of public accounting and professional services.

Given the decline in the number of accounting professionals, particularly among Black and Latinx populations, this program seeks to address the disparity by providing an opportunity for students of all backgrounds to explore various career avenues, acquire new skills and establish a professional network.

The inaugural launch of the Empower High School Experience will host 180 junior and senior students from cities such as Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas and more. KPMG’s commitment to the program is evident through the engagement of almost 500 professionals who will serve as coaches, mentors, content creators, facilitators and volunteers, all contributing to a meaningful and impactful experience for the interns.
